Ajmer-Pushkar

AJMER situated in the green oasis wrapped in the barren hills has been a witness to an interesting past. The city was founded by Raja Ajay Pal Chauhan. It is a popular pilgrimage centre. Especially famous is the Dargah Sharif-tomb of the Sufi saint Gareeb Nawaz Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chisti( R. A.).PUSHKAR is a town near Ajmer,and is an important tourist destination,famous for Pushkar Lake and the 14th century Hindu temple to Brahma.Pushkar is also famous for its annual Camel Fair.

Ajmer URS - 796th Urs Mubarak of Khwaja Gharib Nawaz(R.A)

The 796th urs (Death Anniversary) of KHWAJA GHARIB NAWAZ (R.A) will be held in Ajmer Sharif from 1st to 6th RAZAB corresponding to :-
5th to 13st of July 2008 (depending upon the visibility of Moon).

Timetable of URS SHARIF:-

30th June. == FLAG CEREMONY
5th July.== URS BEGINS (Jannati darwaza opens)
11th July. == NAMAZ-E-JUMA
10th July. == CHATI SHARIF (Annual Fateha , Jannati darwaza will be closed).
13th July. == QUL DAY
